The honorary president of YSR Congress and mother of Jaganmohan Reddy, YS Vijayamma has met the union minister for agriculture, Sharad Pawar in Delhi today. She has brought farmers' problems to the notice of Pawar. Also, she requested the agriculture minister to save the farmers' community in the state. She has even mentioned that farmers were having a tough time due to the unavailability of seeds besides increase in the prices of pesticides.

It may be noted that farmers in the state expressed displeasure due to the frequent power cuts and voltage problems. The political observers have said that farmers this was one of the main reasons why Congress party tasted defeat in bypolls.
