Mohan Kanda grilled by CBI in Jagan case

CBI has been targeting more and more IAS officers in the process of investigation into various scams and the list of former and serving IAS officers being questioned by the CBI is increasing day by day.

Mohan Kanda, a high profile former IAS officer and former chief secretary, was grilled for three hours on Friday in connection with the investigation into the case filed against the YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for allegedly possessing huge illegal properties.

Mohan Kanda later told media persons he was questioned by the CBI on the GOs issued during his tenure as the Chief Secretary when YSR was the CM. Mohan Kanda was the Chief Secretary from August 21, 2003 till September 30, 2005.

“They mainly questioned me whether I went strictly by rules while issuing GOs during my tenure,” he said answering a question.

The CBI earlier questioned former chief secretaries Ramakanth Reddy and Raghottama Rao with relation to investigation in Jagan properties case and illegal mining case.

Meanwhile, some IT officials and senior officers of the Citi Bank have also attended the CBI questioning session in connection with Jagan properties case. (JUBS)
