TDP to serve notice for no confidence on Thursday

TDP will serve a notice of no-confidence motion tomorrow against the Kirankumar reddy government as soon as the winter session of the assembly begins.

Speaking to media persons after the business advisory committee meeting in the assembly premises today, TDP senior leader Mr Ashok Gajapathi Raju said his party’s main concern was on farmers’ problems, price rise, welfare hostels and power scarcity.

“The notice for no confidence motion would be given on these issues only,” he said, adding the TDP has demanded in the business advisory committee that these issues should be discussed prominently in the present session.

The no-trust motion will pose no danger to the Kirankumar reddy government as numbers are in his favour. The MLAs owing allegiance to the YSR Congress party have also openly declared that they would only support the government in the event of a no-confidence motion being introduced by the TDP.

TDP demands a 15-day session

TDP demanded that the proposed 5-day winter session of the assembly, beginning Thursday, should be run for 15 days, said Gajapathi Raju.

The business advisory committee has decided to run the assembly even on Saturday and Sunday also to facilitate discussion on a number of issues. The meeting was presided over by the chief minister Kirankumar reddy and attended by some ministers and TDP and TRS leaders. (JUBS)
