Jagan group MLAs not to support no-trust motion

Mr Adinarayana reddy, a pro-Jagan MLA who quit the congress to join the YSR Congress party, made it clear today that they would not vote against the Government even if TDP president Chandrababu Naidu introduces a no confidence motion in the assembly.

In an informal chat with the media persons after meeting the Speaker Nadendla Manohar in his chambers along with some other MLAs, Adinarayana reddy said they would not support a no-trust motion in the assembly. “Let Chandrababu Naidu introduce the no confidence motion. We are not going to support it. We will not vote against the government,” he said categorically.

He said they would concentrate on welfare and developmental programmes in their constituencies if the Speaker rejects their resignations. “There is no chance of the government falling and because of this we have decided to concentrate on developmental works in our constituencies,” he said.

When asked if they have abandoned Jagan, he said they would stand by Jagan in case he has any problems. He said the congress party leadership in the state is also pressurizing them to support the government and they have accepted its request. “We will support the government but wherever necessary we will criticize it also,” he said.

He said the resignations of the MLAs of the Telangana region are also pending with the Speaker and if he accepts them, the Telangana sentiment will be strengthened. “This also we are keeping in mind,” he said, adding, he has requested the Speaker to take a decision on their resignations as soon as possible.
