Trekking trio missing, police manhunt over 15 hours

Three youth went missing after losing their way back on Monday in the Bhairava Kona Forest in Prakasam district. Police are rigorously conducting the search operations since last night after receiving a complaint from the parents. The missing youth are yet to be traced, even after fifteen hours of search.

The youth were Hari and Siva Krishna, the third being Suresh from Tanguturu. The trio went to the forest for picnic, as was customary in this Karthika month. There they visited the falls, to take a shower in the falls, as the water in the falls was considered sacred. The sacredness has been due the waters gushing down after immersing the Shivalingams on the peak of the hills. The adventurous trio wanted to trek up the hill and visit the Shivalingams, as it is considered very pious to visit Lord Shiva on a Karthika Monday.

The first part of the journey to trek up went on well, but on their way back they lost track and went around frantically. Later one of the youth called up from their mobiles to the family and informed their situation. The parents immediately launched a complaint with the police and sought their help in tracing their children. It is almost well past fifteen hours since the manhunt is lodged, but no news till now. Parents are worried.
