At times you may feel extremely thirsty during extended travel where you are bound to have a shortage of water which you need to use judiciously.
For example consider trekking, hiking or biking, you need to have water too often but cannot afford to drink up too much.
For such times, make sure you sip in a small quantity of water and keep rinsing the mouth by swishing the water in your mouth for 20 to 30 seconds and then swallow.
Not only does this give you the water you need but it also supresses the feeling of thirst that you have from a dry mouth. Also, don't gulp down on large quantities of water in such situations since you might throw up due to nausea.
