TTD to set up Hindu spiritual libraries

All districts in AP will shortly be equipped with spiritual libraries thanks to the TTD Administration. The TTD Trust Board has decided to set up spiritual libraries in district headquarters across the state to make the spiritual books accessible to all those who seek spirituality.

These libraries will be equipped with all spiritual books such as the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayanam and Mahabharatham, in addition to books written by spiritual writers and sages.

The books written by philosophers like Jiddu Krishna Murthy, Swami Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda, Ramana Maharshi and others will also be added to the libraries. The libraries will contain all other types of spiritual books and documents.

The spiritual libraries will be run by TTD’s Central Dharmic Advisory Council in close coordination with the endowments department. The Council chairman and retired IAS officer J Rambabu has also proposed to set up cow-sheds (Goshalas) in all districts to promote cow worship.

The endowments department has suggested that the spiritual libraries can be set up on the very premises of kalyanamantapams (marriage halls) presently run by the TTD.
