Today at Tirumala the lord of the seven hills Lord Sri VenkateswaraToday being the Ninth day and the concluding day of the Brahmotsavams, this marks the end of the festival. The lord is taken him back to his abode after going around in various vahanams, as a part of the ongoing celebrations.

The day begins with a special abhishekam (Avabhrutha Snanam) is held for utsava moorthy of Lord Venkateswara and his concerts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi in the complex of Lord Varaha Swamy temple on the banks of Swamy Pushkarini. Later, the Sudarshana Chakra (Disc weapon of the Lord) is immersed in the waters of Swamy Pushkarini. We find large number of devotes simultaneously taking a dip in the Pushkarini waters at that time. It is believed and said that one will get absolved from sins by taking a dip in Swamy Pushkarini simultaneously along with the Sudarshana Chakra on this day.

In the morning the Utsavam the Pallaki utsavam, Tiruchi utsavam, Snapana Thirumanjanam and Chakrasnanam are performed and in the evening Utsavam Dwajavarohana procession, the Garuda flag will be lowered as a mark of completion of the Brahmostavam and then Sarvadarshanam, where all can seek his blessings.

Meanwhile today at Tirumala devotees are reaching in huge numbers, almost 31 compartments of the waiting halls are filled up and more pilgrims are coming in. The estimated time for darshan is 12 hours for ordinary and almost 4 hours for the special. But sources say the time might stretch a little longer. The Chakrasnanam utsavam has begun abhishekams with milk, curd and ghee on the lord and his consorts are performed.

On the penultimate day of the ongoing nine-day annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Venkateswara at the temple, on Thursday the processional diety Lord Malayapaswami along with his two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi were seated on a high pedestal throne and was taken on a procession around the four-mada streets on a wooden chariot.
