Jagan man fears threat to life, seeks security

CBIJaganMr Vijaya Sai Reddy, vice chairman of the Jagathi Publications and a close lieutenant of the YSR Congress Chief Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy, has written a letter to Mr Mahender Reddy, Additional DGP, Intelligence wing, requesting police protection as he feared a threat to his life from the congress and TDP leaders.

He said in his letter that congress and TDP leaders have let loose a propaganda that there was a threat to his life from Jagan who has been facing CBI investigation into his alleged illegal properties.

Vijayasai reddy said that both congress and TDP leaders have been planning to eliminate him and then blame Jagan for his killing. “Everyday I feel some people are following me when I return from CBI questioning and I suspect that congress and TDP leaders want to eliminate me and put the blame on Jagan,” he said in his letter.

“I have relations with the YSR family for the last 25 years and I don’t believe the theory that Jagan would eliminate me,” he said in his letter. Vijayasai Reddy also alleged that a section of the media has been campaigning systematically that he was responsible for the alleged funds transfer into Jagan’s companies from various sources and he had faced a threat to his life from Jagan.

“The campaign seems to be a conspiracy of TDP and the congress for eliminating me and put the blame on Jagan. Hence I request you to provide me with full security,” he requested the Additional DGP in his letter.

Mr Vijayasai reddy marked a copy to the DGP Mr Dinesh Reddy and hoped that the department would provide him proper security.

Decision in two days

Mahender reddy told journalists that he had received the letter and the issue would be discussed with the committee concerned. “A decision will be taken in two days on providing security to Vijayasai Reddy” he said.
