Danam Nagendar refuses to resign

dhanamLabour minister Danam Nagendar today refused to quit his cabinet post or assembly seat on the issue of Telangana saying he has respects for the Telangana sentiment but has got more respects for the congress party high command.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, he said there was a strong sentiment among the people of Telangana for a separate state and respecting the sentiments, the congress MLAs had resigned. “No one should find fault with the resignations but I refuse to resign as I have got more respects towards the party high command,” said the minister.

“The high command will take a decision acceptable to all people,” he said. “But I refuse to resign.”

Nagender had earlier threatened the TRS leaders including KCR not to make provocative statements and divide the people. “If you continue to provoke people with your statements, we will ensure that you will not set foot in Hyderabad,” he once told KCR and his men threateningly.
