The Telangana sentiment is a very big factor for not only TRS Party but also for the people of Hyderabad. The division of state has hit the common man to a business man and so a common man is changing his vehicle number plate from AP to TG while business people are changing the labels of their business.
We find “Andhra Meals Ready” boards infront of many Restaurants in Hyderabad and many parts of Telangana. Now this restaurants are changing their names, boards as well as the menu cards. Restaurants owned or run by people from Telangana have rewritten their menus and call dishes ‘Telangana thali’, ‘Telangana chicken’.
Andhra Restaurant opposite to Secunderabad Railway stations which was opened a decade ago underwent a change in its name and Telangana Ruchulu (Taste of Telangana) is the new label of the restaurant. “Hyderabad has all kinds of cuisine including Hyderabadi, Irani, Andhra and Rayalaseema but Telangana was missing. It is a matter of great pride for me to launch ‘Telangana Ruchulu' said the owner of Telangana Ruchulu.
“People from Andhra, Telangana and all kinds come to my restaurant. I cannot object if anyone orders Andhra chicken because it is famous and belongs to the undivided state’s cuisine. But it is a matter of pride for me to introduce Telangana dishes in the menu,’’ said K Suman, owner of Salsa Restaurant.
Not stopping here Educational institutes, banks are also undergoing the process of makeover. The popular institutes of Andhra region Sri Chaitanya has been renemaed as Telangana Sri Chaitanya and the Narayana group of institutions has also come up with a similar strategy to protect its interests in Hyderabad and the Telangana region.
