Senior PRP leader C. Ramachandraiah said today that party MLA Ms. Sobha Nagi Reddy can’t prevent the merger process of PRP with the congress.Speaking to media persons in Delhi after meeting the officials of Election Commission of India and submitting the required papers for formalizing the merger, Ramachandraiah said that party president Chiranjeevi had spoken to all the party MLAs and sought their opinions.
“Majority MLAs have agreed to the merger and it is a majority decision,” he said. Ramachandraiah, along with another leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao this morning met the Election Commission of India (EC) and submitted the formal documents of the merger.
Meanwhile, the congress leadership has also decided to submit the necessary papers on the merger of the PRP to the Election Commission tomorrow. The EC may make a formal announcement on the merger next week.
