Three Top AP Police Officials Transferred Before Polls

Three Top AP Police Officials Transferred Before Polls:- The opposition party YSRCP filed a petition and complaint with the Election Commission of India some time ago about the police officials requesting the EC to keep them away from polls. The Election Commission of India after a thorough investigation directed the state government to keep the top three AP cops away from elections and they got immediately transferred. Director General of Intelligence AB Venkateswara Rao, Srikakulam SP Venkata Ratnam and Kadapa SP Rahul Dev Sharma are directed to the Police Headquarters immediately.

The state government preferred not to respond on this and proceeded as per the instructions of the Election Commission. Director General of Intelligence AB Venkateswara Rao, Srikakulam SP Venkata Ratnam and Kadapa SP Rahul Dev Sharma will take respective charges in AP Police Headquarters and will stay away from their positions till the completion of elections in the state. The below rank officials will take their respective places. The Poll Panel took the move after YSRCP filed a complaint that these cops are favoring TDP in the state.
