Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy, who is in Delhi to discuss the party affairs of the state with the high command, met the party president Sonia Gandhi along with Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister and in-charge of congress affairs AP this evening.
The discussions are said to have centered on constituting a special core committee for AP to deal with the party affairs in the state as in case of central core committee that coordinates relations between the party and the Center.
Azad recently paid a two-day visit to the state at the instance of the high command to asses the party stocks in the state in the wake of the crushing defeat of the congress candidates in the by elections for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats.
Azad received several complaints against the Chief Minister from several senior leaders as well as on the lack of coordination between the government and the party on several issues. The high command may now take a decision on constituting a special core committee to deal with the affairs in the state.
