Agreeing that 10 to 12 MLAs of the congress party have cross-voted in the council elections, chief minister Kirankumar reddy said today that the party high command would take suitable action against those who had met Jagan and defied the party directions in the elections.
Addressing media men in Hyderabad, the chief minister said that he was not in the knowledge that some TRS members had voted for the congress candidates. “I don’t know any thing about TRS members voting for congress,” he said.
Disclosing that the MLAs supporting Jagan had promised to vote for the congress candidates during his discussions before the council poll, the CM said they had changed their mind later and resorted to cross voting. He asked the victorious candidates to abide by the party and its policies.
He requested the Election Commission to consider conducting the MLC elections in the manner similar to the Rajya Sabha election to avoid cross voting.
