ACB books case against Rosaiah, 13 others

ACB, Case against Rosaiah, land allotment to private persons, advocate Mr Sri Ranga Rao

The ACB today registered a case against the former Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and 13 others on the instructions of the state high court in a transaction relating to the allotment of government land near Mitrivanam at Ameerpet in Hyderabad to some private persons.
 
The High Court ordered the ACB to book cases against Rosaiah and others based on a PIL filed by an advocate Mr Sri Ranga Rao. The advocate said in his petition that Rosaiah has resorted to corruption in the transaction. 
 
The opposition has alleged that an amount of Rs.200 Cr must have changed hands in the deal and blamed Rosaiah for the controversial allotment. Cases were registered under sections 404, 409, 420 and 120 B of the IPC and sections 11, 12 and 13 of the anti-corruption act.
