Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy, Ministers Jana reddy, Danam Nagender and Anam Ramnarayana reddy, former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, senior TDP leaders Nagam Janardhan reddy and Revanth reddy and several other leaders condemned the attack on Lok Satta Chief Jayaprakash Narayana and described the day as a black day.

Kirankumar reddy described the act of TRS MLAs as a shameful act and instructed the Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to take suitable action against those who resorted to the attack on JP. “It is a black day in the history of AP,” he said in a statement.

The chief minister also offered apologies to the governor for the errant behaviour of the members in the assembly during his speech.

Chandrababu Naidu and Nagam Janardhan reddy condemned the attack and asked the TRS members to tender an apology to JP for the attack. “We joined the political JAC of Telangana on the condition that there should not be any attacks on persons and properties and this is violation of the conditions,” Janardhan reddy said.

“These actions of TRS members will not be tolerated by the people of any region,” said the leaders in their statements.
