Opposing the decision of party president Chiranjeevi in allotting the MLC seat to senior leader C. Ramachandraiah, PRP leader Vasireddy Padma today resigned from the party. She alleged in a letter addressed to the mega star that he had done injustice to the party leaders and workers who had worked hard for the progress of the party.
Sources said that Padma may join the bandwagon of the former Kadapa MP Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy soon.
After the mega star has decided to merge his party with the congress, congress leadership has offered one MLC seat to PRP leaders. Chiranjeevi after discussing the issue with party leaders announced the name of Ramachandraiah for the MLC seat.
Except for Vasireddy Padma, all other leaders supported the decision of Chiru in allotting the seat to Ramachandraiah.
In her letter, Padma questioned his decision on merger and criticised him for allotting the seat to Ramachandraiah. “I am pained at your decision on merger and I am not in a position to work with you in the congress party,” she said in her letter adding that she was quitting the party.
