The chief electoral officer of AP, Mr Bhanwar Lal, today issued notification for the by- elections of Kadapa Lok Sabha Seat and Pulivendula Assembly seat.
Nominations will be accepted till April 18 from today, said the notification, adding that scrutiny of nominations will take place on April 19. “The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 21,” Bhanvar Lal said in his orders.
Polling will be held on May 8 and the results will be out on May 13, he said.
The ruling congress party, opposition TDP and the political baby YSR Congress have already declared their candidates for the by elections.
In Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, YSR congress chief Jagan will take on seasoned TDP leader Dr MV Mysoora Reddy and health minister Dr. DL Ravindra reddy from congress while his mother Vijayamma will be involved in a triangular fight against her brother-in-law YS Vivekananda reddy of congress and BTech Ravi of TDP in Pulivendula.
