As a measure for security restrictions on Independence Day celebrations, the Metro Parking in all the Delhi Metro stations would be closed starting Tuesday afternoon. The services would resume within 24 hours.

There would be no hindrance to the schedule of the Delhi Metro which would run as usual. The Delhi Metro officials said that the official time for the closure of parking would be from 2pm on Tuesday to 2 pm on Wednesday.

Recently there was an unannounced security drill in several metro stations where the police and the personnel at the stations effectively tackled mock terrorism and other natural calamities, to ensure the security should such instances occur.

This indicates the emphasis the Metro management is laying on their services to ensure the passenger safety.
