3 members in the bus died after an accident near Gulmarg while 52 children were hurt. The bus was on an excursion to Baba Rishi Shrine along with two other school buses when it fell into a gorge while manuevering a turn.

The bus was carrying more than 50 people out of which a student, a staff member from the Iqra Institute in Kupwara district and a bus operator breathed their last. Rest of the passengers suffered injuries and were taken to the Sher-E-Kashmiri Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for treatment.

Further details regarding the accident and the treatment are awaited.
