In a shocking incident, a man has concealed the death of his aunt fearing that he would not get her pension in Benevento city of Italy. The incident came to light when the neighbours of dead aunt complained the authorities of foul smell. A fire fighter, who broke into her flats, was astonished to notice the corpse of an aged woman, which was on the verge of decomposition.

The nephew of the aged woman was taken into the custody and was questioned by the police. In the preliminary investigation it was ascertained that the man (name was not revealed) hid the death of 87-year-old aunt only to take her monthly pension of 2000 euros. It may be noted that the dead woman gave authorization for her nephew to collect her pension since he was in financial problems.

The man has also said that, in order to avoid doubts, the person left open the doors of the window and continued to visit his aunt's home with the shopping bags.
