Not to be left behind, India’s business scion Anil Ambani, who had diversified into entertainment is all set to haul a major chunk of awards at the Oscars. The combination of Anil along with Spielberg in Reliance DreamWorks – production house, has garnered nominations for eleven academy awards for 2012. Their projects, `War Horse,’ `The Help’ and `Real Steel’ Tuesday bagged 11 nominations for the 84th Academy Awards, making history. As this is the first time, that such honor has ever been bestowed on an Indian conglomerate.
2012 is lucky for the young Dhiruibhai scion, who after almost a decade rejoined his erstwhile brother Mukesh Ambani to celebrate their father, Dhirubhai Ambani’s anniversary in their home town. And now this honor is going to make Anil Ambani romping. The nominations were announced by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The Steven Spielberg-directed `War Horse’ has been nominated in six categories including the best picture, sound editing, sound mixing, original score (John Williams), art direction and cinematography. War Horse will be released in India on February 10.

But India’s only hope at the Oscars - Sohan Roy’s `DAM 999’ failed to make it to make it to any category.
Reliance Entertainment and Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks struck a mega deal in 2008 to make Hollywood films. Reliance Entertainment also owns 251 movie halls in America.
