Ileana D' Cruz, the Tollywood curvy heroine has decided to make it big with her debut in the movie Barfi, making her entry to B-Town. In South India she is the highest paid actress and Ileana says she deserves what she is being paid.
She however said that she had no idea of what others were being paid when the media has asked her about her being the highest paid lady in the south film industry. She said, "I can't comment on that as I have not seen anyone else's paychecks”.
She added that she had worked extremely hard for over six years in the South's films and the ride was bumpy she admits. She also says that her overcoming the hardships is why she felt she deserved what she was being paid. She mentions that she enjoys the attention her name garners after she hears such news.
The 24-year old star said that money matters for her when she works for a movie and refused to say otherwise. Though she enjoyed working and gaining experience but she is more interested in making more money too she says. She also mentions that she has a huge responsibility with the difficult characters that she plays for the movies.
Ileana admits she is proud to be associated with the southern film industry, but right now her priority is Bollywood. Ileana says that working for Barfi was not planned and was a surprise when she was offered the role.
The Goan girl has no problem wearing a bikini for the screen but she said that she needed to workout six months before the shot and had to feel comfortable with it.
The brain child of Anurag Basu's direction Barfi is to hit the screens near your house on September 14 starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana.
