Nagarjuna is just 3 films away from hitting a century in his colorful career. He has performed magnificently in a wide range of roles. If experimentation is the name of the game, Nag has excelled in it. This is happily being handed down to his cute little son, Akhil, who will have a similar career.
Following his 54th birthday, Nagarjuna was exuberant and eager for his future plans. He enthusiastically spoke about himself and his son, assuring us that the flame of the Akkinenis is in safe hands. Akhil is just 19 years of age now, he expressed, adding that he wants his son to try out various genres in cinema.
That way, Akhil will be the darling of the Telugu audiences from his very first film, guaranteed to have variety. Nag admitted that script sessions for the apple of his eye will begin from the new year. So, what about Nagarjuna himself? Bhai is coming up and his Manam is under production. Later, he says that his 100th film will be special.
We can count on that, as this is Nag we are talking about. Rest assured, we will have a good one. For the 20 something audiences, Nagarjuna was both classy and classily massy in Hello Brother. Romance, sentiment, action, comedy he has been there done that. His songs in the film are unforgettable, which to this day bring 'oopu.'
Similarly, Akhil will have a variety of roles, just like Ranbir Kapoor in Bollywood, in Nag's own words. Be it Barfi or Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir had proved himself versatile. Akhil will also do the same, if papa Nag imparts his precious knowledge to the kid under the wings. A range of filmmakers will always consider both Akkinenis for any type of role.
As far as Manam is concerned, it is simply Nagarjuna's next and not Akhil's first.
