![2016: Good for big, bad for small!](/media/k2/items/src/Lacchimdeviko-Lekkundi-Kalavathi-Seethamma-Andalu-Ramaiah-Sithralu-Movies.jpg)
While Sankranthi was allocated for big movie releases, small movies could not dare to take its release, nearer to its dates. Finally, after the Sankranthi movies hungama was reduced, a bunch of small movies rushed to the theatre, yesterday. Let us get into those and review in short.
Firstly, after Soggade Chinni Nayana success, Lavanya Tripathi is on high and that boosted ‘Lacchimdeviko Lekkundi’ to have a good opening. However, due to the boring screenplay and predictable scenes, the movie could not do well.
In the same line, comes Kalavathi. While the first part went well in both Kollywood and Tollywood, the second one is not that impressive. Most of the scenes in the movie can be related with that of the earlier horror films.
Raj Tarun who got a hat-trick, with the back to back hits, Uyyala Jampala, Cinema Choopista Mama and Kumari 21f, finally faced the first debacle in the form of ‘Seethamma Andalu Ramaiah Sithralu’. As the titled was smelled better and moreover Raj Tarun as the male lead, made the youth turn to the theatres on the first day. But the age old narration and predictable scenes, irritated the audience.
Till yesterday, Tollywood is in a mood that, 2016 would fetch good to Telugu films, as right from Nenu Sailaja, which was released on January 1st, most of the unanticipated films, did well at the box office.
But it seems, the year is good only for the big movies, but not for the small ones and that is the reason, none of the three movies released this week, could do well.
