KVP to make re-entry

Decks have been reportedly cleared for the reentry of the Rajya Sabha MP and lieutenant of the late chief minister KVP Ramachandra Rao into the active politics of the congress party KVP, Re-entry, active politics with Rajahmundry congress MP Undavalli Arunkumar making a startling revelation Wednesday in Delhi that YSR himself wanted to have an alliance with the congress.
Arunkumar released a letter to the media written by the late YSR to the congress president Sonia Gandhi suggesting alliance and power sharing with the PRP after the 2009 elections.
Arunkumar made it clear that he was releasing the letter to the media to counter the allegations made by some congress leaders including senior congress leader G. Venkataswamy that congress has lost its prestige by preferring an alliance with the PRP. Arunkumar also said that no other congress leader knew of the existence of the letter except him and KVP Ramachandra Rao.

In fact, Arunkumar has released the letter to counter the allegations of the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy and his men that congress has weakened after the death of YSR and congress has been trying for an alliance with the PRP for this reason only. Leaders of the Jagan group also alleged that congress was trying to reduce the influence of Jagan by taking the PRP as an alliance partner or asking it to merge with congress.

To respond to this criticism and to say that congress has not weakened, Arunkumar said that the invitation to the PRP is not new but a very old proposal mooted by the late YSR.
Now the question is who gave the letter to Arunkumar. Either KVP or Sonia must have given the letter to him. Arunkumar made it clear that whatever good that happened to the state was ascribed to the late YSR and whatever bad that happened to the state was ascribed to KVP. “It is not good. Good or bad, the credit must go either to YSR or KVP,” Undavalli asserted.

KVP who vowed that he would work for the congress party only and not for Jagan, is in Dubai keeping off the AP politics all these days as some congressmen were making allegations against him. It seems Undavalli made the statement at the instance of the high command which wanted to make use of KVP’s services. He is likely to enter the scene now, sources say.
