Varun Tej's Valmiki Postponed: Talented director Harish Shankar took two complete years after the release of Duvvada Jagannadham to sign his next. He decided to remake Tamil blockbuster Jigarthandaa and roped in Varun Tej for the lead role. The film's shoot has been wrapped up recently and the film features Atharvaa Murali, Pooja Hegde, Dimple Hayaathi in the other lead roles. Valmiki is currently busy with the post-production work and has been announced for September 13th release.

With Nani's Gang Leader announced for the same day release, the makers now pushed the release of Valmiki. The film will now hit the screens across the globe on September 20th, a week after the release of Gang Leader. 14 Reels Plus are the producers and Mickey J Meyer is the music composer. The look of Varun Tej already received top class response from the audience.
