Darsaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao is in the film news again having so many plans of making films which mostly are of remakes. He is considering so many projects to keep himself busy in the field.  It may not be an indication that he lost interest in the Political field but all of a sudden the dormant director in him woke up with full strength and many aspirations.  

He wanted to remake "Yedanthasthula Meda" that was originally made with Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Sujatha.  He gave a cd of the movie to Nagarjuna to watch and get interested in the plot to mentally prepare to take up his father’s role.  

Recent buzz is that Dasari wants to remake "Viswamitra" played by NTR in its title role, naturally!  Producer Sai Babu is said to have shown interest to produce the movie under Dasari’s direction.  

Dasari Narayanarao is doing the same mistake made by Bapu.  Bapu made "Bangaru Pichuka" with Chandra Mohan as hero. The movie was remade again with Naresh after a gap of about 20 years.  That means the changes in the society are not considered by Bapu whose mind stayed there.  The same way Dasari’s mind stayed where he left it some time back regarding film making.  He is not able to shake off his memories to adjust to the new times.  

Interestingly, when "Viswamitra" was announced by NTR in which he was suspected of getting politics in to it, Dasari as an admirer of the Congress party made a TV serial in Hindi hurriedly before NTR’s Viswamitra hit the screens to telecast it on the National Network.  Of course, a ban also came later on that the political leaders holding Government positions are not to appear on the silver screens in prominent roles!
