The unorthodox movie maker Christopher Nolan has stated that The Dark Knight Rises has been the best of his creations to date. The grand finale of his Batman Trilogy has beautifully screened the completely secluded Mehrangarh Fort in a prison scene in the movie directed by Nolan. The fort is shown in the few opening scenes in the movie.

Christian Bale, Josh Pence and Nolan had come to Jodhpur, India in the 2011 Summer for a shooting in the Mehrangarh Fort for a few days. Josh who played Ra's al Ghul which translates from Arabic to Demon's Head is the deadliest enemy of Batman.

The mega-structure of the fort leaves an imposing impression with it sitting atop a hill over 400 feet in height. The Fort overlooks the palaces and the courtyards that are spread all across the city.

Hollywood has recently identified India as a potential place for the film shootings, given its highly varying terrains and landscapes, especially in adventures. The Avengers, which was the latest action block buster movie featuring superheros, also had a few shots which were shot in India.  Mark Ruffalo who played Incredible Hulk in the movie, was shown to be using a slum in erstwhile Calcutta. The original shot in New Mexico, however.

In an interview Nolan speaking of the shot in India said that the local residents thought that they were "extremely crazy to be shooting in 120 degrees temperature".

With the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight receiving great appreciation even today, and both of them are in the top 50 movies list of IMDB, Nolan had set the threshold of expectations from the audience. He, clearly, has delivered what the audience expect of him or that probably is an understatement. Catch all the action at the nearest theaters on July 20th, 2012.
