Eega-an effort to prove India cinema is on par with Hollywood

Today is July 5 and film enthusiasts are all excited over the release of Eega movie. Rajamouli's Eega is all set to hit theatres on July 6 with 1200 prints. While the movie has been hyped so much, the critics wonder whether movie would live up to the expectations. However, the only thing which presumably runs in the mind of a fan is-how to get tickets to Eega?

In Hyderabad, Eega will be released in all major centres and hysteric fans were said to be loafing around theatres and staring at king sized animated Eega's posters. The Telugu version Eega will have Kannada sub-titles. The movie will also be released in Tamil and Malayalam versions on the same day. So, this Friday is undoubtedly a big day to movie lovers in three states since this is the first time in the history of Indian commercial cinema that a versatile commercial director is bringing before the public an animated house fly as a protogonist.

Whether Eega becomes a hit or not is a different question, what matters is the initiative taken by the director from Tollywood to prove Indian cinema is on par with Hollywood movie.
