Veteran film actor and writer Mr Mikkilineni Radhakrishna Murthy, 96, passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday at a private hospital at Vijayawada. Mikkilineni, who was undergoing treatment for lung infection, has been surviving on ventilator for the last three days but this morning his condition deteriorated totally and he breathed his last.
Mikkilineni, who hailed from Kolavennu in Krishna district, entered the film industry in 1949 through the movie ‘Deeksha’ and acted in 340 movies. His last movie is ‘Bhairava Dweepam’.
On hearing the news, several cine and political personalities visited his house at Mogalrajapuram and paid their last respects to the departed soul.
