AP's movie star Nagarjuna is collaborating with former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar to invest in a team for the upcoming Indian Badminton League. They will Mumbai Master, the Mumbai franchise of IBL. BCCI's junior selection committee former chairman V Chamundeshwarnath is the third co-owner in the franchise.

Gavaskar will hold the equity and also act as the brand ambassador for Mumbai Masters. IBL will be held from 14th August to 31st August, the auction for which will be held on 22nd July in Delhi. Base price of six icon players will begin at $50,000. These players are Saina Nehwal, Ashwini Ponnappa, Jwala Gutta, P.V. Sindhu, Parupalli Kashyap and one top foreign player.Totally, 150 players will go under the hammer and each franchise will have 11 players.

Franchises are Mumbai Masters (Mumbai), Hyderabad HotShots (Hyderabad), Karnataka Kings (Bangalore), Rajdhani Smashers (Delhi), Pune Vijetas (Pune) and Lucknow Warriors (Lucknow).
