On Monday, WTA released the list mentioning that Serena Williams of the United States stayed just top of the women’s tennis rankings, while Dubai Open winner Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic moved up a place to seventh.

Moreover, Williams has a slender 40-point lead over Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, after both withdrew with injuries from last week’s Dubai Open.
Kvitova defeated Italy’s Sara Errani on Saturday’s final of the Dubai Open and swaps places in the top 10.
