Sania-Mahendra clinch French Open Mixed Doubles

Sania Mirza and Mahendra Bhupati clinched the French Open Mixed Doubles title in Paris by defeating Klaudia Jans of Poland and Santiago Gonzalez by 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 score. The exciting game to many tennis players took around one hour fifteen minutes.

Amidst an elite gathering of tennis enthusiasts, the couple lifted the trophy as shutter bugs clicked them in every possible angle. Notably, this happens to the be second grand title for Sania Mirza while 12th one for Mahendra Bhupati.

This victory will definitely be a major one for Sania Mirza as it could boost her confidence and hopes for a wild card entry into the women’s singles of Olympics that’s scheduled to take place in July. In case Sania makes it to Olympics, then she would team up with Mahendra Bhupati in the mixed doubles.

Lets hope they couple would add another feather in India’s cap by winning the mixed double in London Olympics.
