New Zealand scored 148 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the curtailed play on the first day of their third cricket test against India being played at Nagpur on Saturday.
Match started late at 12.30 pm due to the wet field and the visitors opted for batting after winning the toss. Only 56 overs were bowled due to curtailed play but India’s Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma struck at the backbone of the visitors by sending their top order to the pavilion soon after they started batting.
At the end of the day, Brendon McCullum was batting on 34 after facing 80 balls and hitting three fours in company of Tim Southee who made seven runs. The other notable Kiwi batsman is Jesse Ryder who hit a useful 59.
