India Vs New Zealand: A Nail-Biting Draw in the First Test

India Vs New Zealand: A Nail-Biting Draw in the First Test:- India had a clean sweep in the T20 series against New Zealand and the teams are fighting in the test series. The first test between India and New Zealand ended up as a draw after New Zealand struggled and stood strong in their second innings. India placed a target of 284 for New Zealand and the team managed to score 165 and lose 9 wickets in the chase on the last day of the first test match. Indian bowlers had to sweat out hard but they failed to get the last wicket. Tom Latham (52) and Will Somerville (36) are the top scorers for the New Zealand in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja (4/40) has been outstanding and Ravichandran Ashwin (3/35) is decent with the ball for the Indian side.

Before this, India reported 234 runs in their second innings after they lost 7 wickets. Shreyas Iyer shined once again and scored 65 runs and Saha was not out with 61 runs. Shreyas Iyer is named as the Player of the Match for his 105 and 65 with the bat. The first test finally ended up as a draw and the second test will take place next week in Mumbai. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will return back to the team from the second test and there would be minor changes done for the team. New Zealand is expected to play with the same team for the second test too.
