Shubman Gill's Double Ton Brings Victory For Team India:- New Zealand is teaming in India currently and the first ODI among the three took place last evening in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad. Team India won the toss and elected to bat first. Shubman Gill has been outstanding and he scored 208 in just 149 balls. This is a new record for the Indian youngster. Team India scored 349 for the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs. Rohit Sharma (34) and Suryakumar Yadav (31) are the other top scorers for the Indian side. Daryl Mitchell (2/30), Henry Shipley (2/74) and Mitchell Santner (1/56) took the wickets among the bowlers of the New Zealand.
Chasing a target of 350, New Zealand fell short by 12 runs and made 337 in 49.2 overs. The team went all over in the last over. Micheal Bracewell (140), Mitchell Santner (57) and Finn Allen (40) are the top scorers for the side. Mohammed Siraj (4/46), Kuldeep Yadav (2/43) and Shardul Thakur (2/54) took the most of the wickets among the bowlers of India. Shubman Gill who scored a double-ton has been named as the Player of the Match. India is now leading the series by 1-0. The second ODI takes place on January 21st on Saturday and the final ODI takes place on January 24th on Tuesday.
