Social networking site, Facebook has revealed its mobile ad revenue but the results were not up to the mark when it comes to WhatsApp, which Facebook bought very recently. The advertising revenue by 64 percent in the third quarter with $2.96 billion. Facebook started offering mobile ads from 2012 and has been making great revenues.

Facebook had 1.35 billion average monthly users as of September 30, an increase of 14 percent from last year. Daily users totaled 864 million, up 19 percent while mobile monthly active users were 1.12 billion, up 29 percent from the previous year.
