Google Nexus 4 in India

After an year of the global release, Google and LG look at India to expand the sales of their Google Phone, the Nexus 4. The phone is already on Flipkart, the e-commerce leader in India, for a price of Rs 25,990 for the 16 GB variant.

LG plans to launch the phone on Friday through an exclusive deal with Flipkart. After the launch, LG plans on retailing it through all other mobile stores all over India. A nod from Google and the launch shall take place.

The 8GB variant of the phone has not been released, however. This could be a set back for the mid-range phone buyers who prefer lower prices at the cost of memory. Such buyers will have to wait longer as the 8GB version might soon be announced.

This move comes at a time when Google is rumored to launch a newer version of Nexus 4 wit 32 GB variant at the annual event Google I/O. They also have plans for Android 4.3 OS release in the event. The newer version of Nexus 4 might even have the update.
