iPad goes thinner for fifth gen

Cupertino Giant Apple has been the unrivaled leader in the tablet market until a few months ago but with increasing competition from Samsung amongst other players in the department, Apple is trying to up its game with a newer Fifth Generation iPad. The New iPad has been modified twice after it was unveiled to give it a retina screen, and a higher resolution screen. It is about to get newer and would be out in market by March according to sources from Japanese tech blog Macotakara.

The full size tablet is expected to be in the same design as the iPad Mini which has not quite caught up in the market. The size however would be sligtly smaller than the iPad 2.

It would have the Retina Display and the same resolution as that of the earlier third and fourth-generation iPads. Daily Mail wrote that there were rumors of such a tab being launched and since the source is one known for its inside information for Apple products, the news might be true after all. Clearly Apple is trying to get its nose ahead in the rat race.

Currently the iPad is 9.5”x 7.31” x 0.37” and new reports claim that the newer iPad would be around 0.3in (7mm), same as the iPad Mini. This development would make the tablet considerably lighter than the rest.
