Nokia Lumia 620: Budget W8 phone

On Wednesday, Nokia added another phone to the Lumia lineage powerd by the latest version of Microsoft Windows 8. The good news is "this phone is a budget phone unlike its bigger brothers Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820". The phone which was unveiled yesterday in Helsinki would be available for an affordable price of $249 and is expected to go on sale in January 2013 in Asia. The phone will later crawl into Europe and Middle east soon after.

Boasting of a 3.8" screen that is a few cms short of the current day average of 4", the quality of display with Nokia's ClearBlack Display technology is sure to make up for the lack of the fraction of an inch of screen. Powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and a 512 MB ram to make multitaking as smooth as butter. With 8GB internal memory, and an external storage slot that accepts cards up to 64 GB, you are at an advantage compared to rest of the phones in the class. On purchase of the phone you will also be granted a 7GB online storage capacity by SkyDrive by Microsoft.

With a 5MP camera aided by an LED flash, a secondary VGA camera for video calling, the phone is surely worth the money spent. Imaging features like CinemaGraph and SmartShoot that are available with the current Nokia Windows 8 phones are present in this model too.  Navigation has never been so easy with Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and the Nokia City Lens. Available in lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black. The phone is NFC capable.
