Engineer Day is one day dedicated the global engineers who have recreated the world for us and enhanced our lively standards. Everything is automatized to our requirements. From the grinding stone we transformed in to the grinder, from the washing stone we took up washing machines, hand fans to air conditioners the list is endless and awe some. So lets all join and salute the stalwarts who made significant contribution to the way we enjoy life making 'life is beautiful.' But for all the advancement that this field has contributed from your electric razor to the Curiosity on Mars, technologists are remembered, eevryday and their products are appreciated on an hourly basis.

However, we have celebrated this day in their dedication. As on this day way back in 1860, an engineering marvel was born and he is Sir 'Mokshagundam Vishveshwarya,' born to Telugu parents, was the Diwan of Mysore. He ruled the community (of Engineers) with his towering vision. He was knighted as a Commander of the British Indian Empire by King George V for his myriad contributions to the public good. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna by the government of India, but in reality is the Kohinoor among global engineers.

Now let us see how technology is emerging after decades of this visionary. Though the civil engineering scenario is still hot, technology development has taken center stage in other faculties of engineering too. And the predominant is the bio-technology, Genetic engineering and Information technology.  All the three technologies play a vital role in modern world to yield better outputs. While biotechnology uses living things to make products that serve in agriculture and medicine predominately. On the other hand Genetic engineering takes care of genetic alterations aiding in medical advancements and breeding.

The third front is the Information Technology which is everywhere visible. Real advancement in this area is clearly visible. And with the cloud taking the Information Technology arena like a Tsunami much could be visible in this area frequently. Another division of  Information Technology is mobile apps where there is ample done and needs more to be done too.
