If the headline is your dream since sometime then the real 3D is to get its autostereoscopic displays soon. The technology devised by Researchers at Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz Institute, HHI in Berlin is to be unveiled at the IFA trade show in Berlin from August 31 to September 5. Sounds amazing but what does all this mean. Simple a 3D film with better quality that could be watched by naked eyes with out the necessity of glasses.
Normally the present films are based on two different perspectives, i.e. two images, one for each eye. However with autostereoscopic displays the perspectives might vary between 4-5 or more. That means indeed better picture on the television for all those people who enjoy the 3D films on their Blu-ray. The researchers claim that they have developed a technology that could convert your existing Blu-ray into autostereoscopic displays
That's great news but not immediately ofcourse, you have to wait another one year for the product say sources. However doing away with hassles of the glasses is certain with this research. As of now the software is ready, claim the researchers and shortly they would be integrating into the hardware to make our dreams a reality. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
