Three wheeler rickshaws that are popular mode of public transport in many rural places have utterly vanished out of the metros. And a recent model might have a healthy effect on the society. It will reduce the over heads and also result in zero pollution. There by controlling the green house gas effect. This battery operated  rickshaw had been the brain child of  Sivaraj Muthuraman, a Tirupur-based innovator. Called as the Eco Free Cab, it runs on solar battery and pedal power. Recently  the vehicle was test ridden and listed in the India Book of Records under  the Science and Technology Category.

The project that raised curiosity among the circles of the society had been envisaged by Senthil to breathe in fresh air into the forgotten rickshaw. This time the project is sure to take off as the successful test ride had encouraged white goods manufacturer Videocon to get into the project. Hence Senthil is planning to make the product road worthy before exploring the variants.
