India to be affected by an asteroid shower

Scientists on a mission to assess the catastrophic impact on the earth to the forecasted asteroid shower predict that the some countries may face worse. As per the study initiated by the NASA along with the University of Southampton declare that the catastrophic includes huge loss of life and worse is irreversible biological or geographical damages. As per the study of NASA’s Wide Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) nearly 107 of the "potentially hazardous" asteroids (PHA) have been identified in the first phase.

However in reality the study also reveals that there could be an alarming 47,000 PHAs. They are so strong enough that they could pass undamaged through the earth’s protective layers. The witch hunting done by WISE ‘s asteroid hunting programme NEOWISE states that due to their size and proximity to our planet the impact would be worse. Of the total scientists feel that approximately 4,700 (+1,500) are so large with diameters more than 330 feet.

The list compiled by the researchers using software, NEOimpactor, short for NASA’s "NEO" or Near Earth Object programme has revealed a list of ten top affected countries. They are China, Indonesia, India, Japan, US, Philippines, Italy, UK, Brazil and Nigeria. However there seems to be immediate worry and it might be long time from now before the cosmic shower begins.
