Ramadan the holy month of Muslims starts from 18th June. The month of fasting for 1.6 billion Muslims around the world. It is the period of prayer and fasting. Charity is the buzz word during the holy period. Fasting requires a conscious effort, it is a sincere act of selflessness. Purposeful starvation is pointless without it and the point has always been the gratitude. The especially grateful experience of real hunger, gnawing exhaustion and the overwhelming relief while breaking the fast can only experience with fervour. The food has never tasted so good.

Ramadan is also a family experience, a time to bond, eat dinner and breakfast together, pray together, celebrate together. Breakfast at 3 a.m. and Dinner at 9 p.m. Eat both meals with your family. The double whammy of starvation and sleep deprivation will be experienced on the longest day of the year, June 21st. 18 hours without food or drink. One thing in common anywhere in the world is the tradition of sharing snacky appetizers during Ramadan.
