Chili Con CarneThis chili con carne is very easy and a delicious meal you can make at home for your family to enjoy. Chili con carne literally means chili with meat and it is basically a spicy stew made from meat, chili peppers, garlic and onion. You can also add in tomatoes, kidney beans or other ingredients too. Ground Turkey can be substituted for ground beef.

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground beef, 3 cans (1 pound 4 ounces) kidney beans

2 cans (1 pound 13 ounces) tomatoes, undrained, 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

2 medium onions, thinly sliced, 2 large cloves garlic, crushed

1/2 teaspoon crumbled oregano, 1/3 cup salad oil

Chili powder, Tabasco sauce, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon paprika

Method:

1. Preheat a large pot and add the oil. Add the onions and saute them until wilted, be sure not to brown them.

2. Add the ground beef, paprika, garlic, oregano, salt, Tabasco sauce and chili powder. Continue stir frying to break up the meat so that it loses its red color.

3. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste; combine and mix well. Cover and let simmer for 45 minutes.

4. Add the kidney beans and continue stirring. Let simmer for another 1 minute.
