When it comes to aggressive hiring, Bangalore always tops the list. Just like every year, the recent results by Naukri have said that Bangalore recorded a 36 per cent increase in hiring this financial year compared to previous year. In Information Technology wing, the growth of hiring is five per cent, said Naukri.

The index for IT sector in April-12 at 1400 is the highest since inception (July-08) and hiring activity is 18 per cent higher as compared to March-12. A month-on-month comparison also indicates optimism with hiring activity in April-12 being 2 per cent higher than March-12,” said Naukri.

The managing director of Info Edge India, Hitesh Oberoi has said that most companies are still optimistic and continuing to hire new employees knowing the fact that good talent is difficult to find.

All in all, it’s a good thing that Bangalore is becoming a care of address to those between jobs despite the economic slowdown.    (Phani)
