A normal independent house might take around 2 months to complete. Then how much time does it take to complete a 57 story skyscraper ?. May be a comfortable time. But can you believe, if I say that a Chinese construction company built it is just 19 days ?

Getting into the details, the company chief engineer Chen Xiangqian said that with the traditional method, a skyscraper should be built brick by brick, whereas with this modern method, we just need to assemble the blocks accordingly.

Including in Britain and the U.S, such modular approaches have been used for high-rise apartment blocks. Some critics say the method could lead to cityscapes with overly uniform architecture.

The method is worth developing because it could become a safe and reliable way to build skyscrapers rapidly, Liu Peng, associate director of the engineering consulting firm ARUP Beijing, said.

He also opined that it might not meet all kinds of personalized demands,as the people nowadays prefer more personalized architecture.

But the best thing is, it is nevertheless when compared with other sky scrapers. It can even withstand the earthquakes.
So an attempt like this is definitely appreciable and lets see the condition of these scrapers when the right consequences like earthquakes takes place.
